A Buckhead estate named Woodbine has been listed for sale at $25 million, making it the most expensive home currently on the market in Atlanta, according to a report from the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The property, located at 881 West Conway Drive near Chastain Park, covers 17 acres and includes about 15,000 square feet of living space. This puts the asking price at approximately $1,667 per square foot.

The listing is being handled by Chase Mizell and Josh Reeves of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. Fulton County records show that Woodbine last sold for just over $10 million in 2008. The new listing price reflects significant growth in Atlanta’s luxury real estate market since the economic downturn known as the Great Recession.

Woodbine was completed in 2002 and features French Neoclassical architecture with solid limestone exteriors, mahogany doors, and leaded-glass windows. The main house offers six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, three partial bathrooms, and a grand foyer with dual cantilevered limestone staircases. Other amenities include large entertaining spaces on the main level and a primary suite on the ground floor with dual bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The upper floor contains four ensuite bedrooms, a living room, an office, and a media salon. There is also an attached suite suitable for an in-law or au pair that comes with its own living room, kitchenette, and full bathroom—a feature that appeals to buyers looking for multigenerational living arrangements.

On the terrace level is a wellness area equipped with a fitness studio, sauna, and resistance pool. The grounds include manicured lawns, formal gardens, private lakes, two greenhouses, walking trails, an equestrian stable at one end of the property, and a vanishing-edge pool behind the house.

Recent years have seen several high-profile sales in Buckhead’s luxury housing market. In 2024 there was a sale just under $20 million. Another notable transaction occurred off-market in 2021 when a home sold for more than $18 million. Before these deals, one of the highest open-market sales took place in April 2016 when David Turner purchased Tyler Perry’s former mansion for $17.5 million.
