The City of Savannah’s Park and Tree Department, together with the Downtown and Midtown Rotary Club Reven, will host an informational session about a proposed gathering space in Forsyth Park. The session is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Bull Street Library.

During the event, city officials and Rotary Club representatives will present plans for the project, collect feedback from attendees, and respond to questions or concerns from the community. The meeting is open to all residents in a drop-in format.

The proposed project aims to redesign the courtyard area with updated hardscaping, new shade trees, seating areas, and landscaping. According to organizers, this initiative is intended to honor Herb Traub, described as “a beloved community advocate and downtown Savannah champion.” The project seeks to transform part of Forsyth Park into what they describe as “a vibrant hub of conversation and connection within the community.”

Residents who are unable to attend can submit their feedback through a form available at savannahga.gov/herbtraub.
