The state of Georgia has entered into a partnership with InnovateUS to provide online training for public sector employees on the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (AI). The training will be offered at no cost and aims to equip state employees with practical skills for using AI technology in their work.

According to the announcement, this initiative supports Georgia’s focus on transparency, accountability, and public trust as new technologies are adopted within state government. Current guidance in Georgia requires that all content produced by AI is clearly labeled and checked for accuracy, hallucinations, and bias. The new partnership with InnovateUS is intended to help employees follow these standards through hands-on courses that reflect the state’s policy framework.

Participants will have access to a course series titled “Responsible AI for public professionals.” This includes modules such as “Using generative AI in government” and “Understanding risks and building resilience,” which cover both practical applications of AI tools and strategies for managing associated risks. State employees can find these resources on the InnovateUS platform as well as the GTA AI learning hub.

GTA provides technology leadership and services to Georgia state agencies, advancing secure, efficient, and innovative use of technology in government. Learn more on the Georgia AI website.
