IAM air traffic controllers prepare for contract talks with Leidos

IAM negotiations team member Mark Costa, who works as a flight service specialist, has outlined his responsibilities in providing weather and safety information to pilots. Costa represents Local 2010 in Reston, Virginia. He stated that his team, together with Local 2011 based in Fort Worth, Texas, is getting ready for contract negotiations with the government contractor Leidos.

Costa explained the importance of his role: “I provide critical weather and safety information to pilots.” He added that both locals are preparing for upcoming talks with Leidos.

The preparations come as both groups aim to address key issues affecting air traffic controllers represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).
