The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) announced on Apr. 7 that registration is open for its Retirees Assistance Program, which will take place from June 14 to June 19, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program aims to provide IAM retirees with information and resources to help them address challenges and opportunities they may face during retirement.

According to the announcement, participants will attend educational sessions on a variety of topics including elder abuse awareness, mental health, self-care, senior addiction issues, healthcare navigation, and volunteer opportunities. The curriculum also covers community resource access, dementia awareness, financial planning and asset protection strategies, considerations for senior housing options, preparing for doctor visits, sensitivity training sessions and advance directives.

Details about tuition costs, transportation arrangements and course content are included in the official call letter distributed by IAM leadership.

The association encourages interested retirees to register early as the program is designed to offer practical support tailored specifically for their needs.
