IAM District 142 recently held its second annual charity golf tournament at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix. The event was organized to raise funds for Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines, a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).

The tournament is part of a competitive fundraising effort among IAM districts. Money raised from the event, including proceeds from games and donated prizes, will go toward training and placing service dogs with people who are visually impaired, veterans experiencing PTSD, and autistic children. All services provided by Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines are free for recipients.

Staff members from Guide Dogs of America attended the event with puppies currently in training. Attendees expressed their support for the cause and noted the success of the fundraiser in generating significant contributions.

According to organizers, anyone interested in learning more about Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines can visit https://www.guidedogsofamerica.org.
