The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for two upcoming leadership programs set for March 2026. The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to March 6, while the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is scheduled for March 15 to March 20. Both events will be held at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

According to the IAM, the Women’s Leadership Program aims to encourage union members to become more active within their local and district chapters. The program focuses on developing skills in organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

The Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is intended for those who have already completed the initial leadership course. This advanced session seeks to further develop participants’ skills in leadership development and other key areas such as organizing and political engagement.

“Women’s Leadership Programs equip IAM sisters with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” stated the department.

Registration details are included in an official call letter that outlines tuition, transportation, and curriculum information. Members must use the Departmental Program Registration Form to sign up.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. The deadline for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is February 11, 2026.

Members seeking more information are encouraged to contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department at 301-967-4747.

“Eligible members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this important educational opportunity and continue building a stronger, more inclusive IAM,” according to the department.
