As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, Brian Bryant, International President of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM Union), issued a message to union members highlighting the contributions of workers who make the holiday possible.

Bryant recognized the efforts of farmworkers who harvest food, as well as those involved in processing, transporting, and stocking goods. He also mentioned workers in transportation sectors—buses, rail, and air travel—and acknowledged those required to work during the holiday.

“This holiday is built on their hard work and sacrifice. We owe them our gratitude, and we owe it to them to keep fighting for a voice, dignity, and respect on the job,” Bryant stated.

He emphasized solidarity among IAM members: “Every day, across our great union, IAM members are proving what solidarity looks like. Whether you’re on the shop floor, on an assembly line, supporting a sibling on a picket line, or standing strong at the bargaining table, your determination is what keeps this union strong and moving forward.”

Bryant concluded by thanking members for their commitment: “On behalf of the IAM Executive Council, thank you for everything you do. Your commitment to one another, to your families, and to the labor movement is what gives our union its strength. It’s what makes the IAM a force for fairness and a source of hope for working people everywhere.”

He extended wishes for a safe and meaningful Thanksgiving to all IAM families.
