Regional leaders gathered last week at the Quick Start Advanced Manufacturing Training Center to discuss the increasing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace. The meeting featured a keynote address titled “Unlock New Tech Insights” by Dr. Michael Butcher, who is the Founder and President of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and serves as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at the College of Coastal Georgia.

Dr. Butcher, who also co-chairs the AI Task Force at CCGA, shared his expertise on how organizations can responsibly integrate AI into their operations. He emphasized practical approaches to adopting new technologies, shifting organizational culture, and improving outcomes through training and research. Dr. Butcher’s influence extends beyond the region through his national work as a keynote speaker, webinar host, and advisor to initiatives such as CareerOS, EdTech Magazine, and the Citizen Experience podcast.

The event highlighted collaboration among organizations, with support from RISE and SEDA. Attendees had opportunities to network during a lunch sponsored by ASME. As industries continue to evolve with AI technology, events like this aim to help local businesses remain competitive by staying informed about technological advancements.
