Memorial Health has received accreditations from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as a Center of Excellence in hernia surgery and robotic surgery. The recognition highlights the hospital’s focus on quality patient care and safety.
The accreditation indicates that Memorial Health meets both national and international standards for these specialties. SRC accreditation is not pursued by all healthcare facilities, and not every applicant meets the necessary criteria.
“We are proud to have earned the Surgical Review Corporation’s Center of Excellence designations in both hernia surgery and robotic surgery,” said Brad Talbert, CEO of Memorial Health. “These accreditations affirm the safe, high-quality surgical care provided by our physicians and clinical teams and are a testament to our commitment to deliver the highest standards for our patients.”
To achieve this status, healthcare providers undergo a detailed assessment process. SRC evaluates factors such as surgical volumes, equipment, standardized procedures, patient education efforts, and ongoing quality assessments. Inspectors also provide guidance on best practices to support continued improvement.
“We’re proud to recognize Memorial Health for its commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients,” said Gary M. Pratt, CEO of SRC. “This accreditation signals that this facility is among the best in this specialty and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible.”
Memorial Health continues to expand its services, including emergency care in new communities and recognition for stroke care excellence.
