Paul Damico appointed CEO of Ascent Hospitality Management

Ascent Hospitality Management has named Paul Damico as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company, headquartered in Atlanta, oversees family dining brands Huddle House and Perkins American Food Co., which together operate nearly 600 locations across the United States and Canada.

Damico will be responsible for leading Ascent’s growth and modernization efforts. He is also expected to look for opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio by acquiring additional brands that fit Ascent’s strategy and values.

“Hospitality is in my DNA, and I am invigorated by the opportunity to work with our franchisees and the Ascent team to drive growth of Huddle House and Perkins, two beloved family dining brands,” Damico said. “I look forward to cultivating a culture of innovation and teamwork at these iconic brands, ensuring our guests’ needs remain the top priority.”

Damico brings more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background in managing multi-brand operations. He has previously served as CEO at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Global Franchise Group, and Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill. He also held senior leadership roles at Focus Brands, Inc., now known as GoTo Foods.

In addition to his executive experience, Damico holds credentials as an International Franchise Association Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) and serves on the Board of the National Restaurant Association Fast Casual Industry Council. He has been involved with both the Georgia Restaurant Association and Illinois Restaurant Association Advisory Boards. Damico is also active in philanthropy related to children and food insecurity.
