On October 10, 2025, members of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce are invited to participate in a Volunteer Day organized in partnership with Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity. The event aims to bring together local businesses and individuals to help construct a home for a family in Savannah.

There will be two available shifts for volunteers, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with each shift accommodating up to fifteen participants. Registered volunteers will receive the build-site address by email prior to the event. Organizers advise participants to wear closed-toe shoes and attire suitable for construction work.

According to the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, “Organizing team-building days strengthens team member connections, boosts morale, and helps provide safe, affordable housing for Savannah families.”

The Chamber encourages small businesses to get involved by supporting staff participation in this community initiative. Those interested in registering can contact Sam Wilkins by email or call 912-644-6459 for more information.
