Savannah schedules groundbreaking for I&D Water Treatment Plant expansion

The City of Savannah has announced it will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of its Infrastructure & Domestic (I&D) Water Treatment Plant. The event is scheduled for Friday, January 9 at 2:30 p.m., and will take place at 6183 GA-21 in Savannah, Georgia.

City officials stated that leadership from the city, along with state and regional partners and utility officials, are expected to attend the ceremony. The city described this event as marking a significant milestone for the water treatment facility.

Media representatives have been invited to cover the event. According to the city, more information about the project and future developments will be shared after the ceremony.
