Visit Savannah’s Director of Sports Sales, Karissa Pendleton, attended the U.S. Sports Congress in Lexington, Kentucky. The event included three days of educational sessions and networking with sports tourism professionals and event organizers from across the United States.

The conference addressed best practices for hosting and attracting sporting events, improving experiences for fans and athletes, and increasing economic impact through sports tourism.

Pendleton met with national partners, learned about new trends in the industry, and looked into ways to improve Savannah’s standing as a leading destination for sporting events.
