The Visit Savannah public relations team recently visited New York City to meet with editors and writers from major national media outlets. PR Director Supriya Christopher and PR Manager Tanvi Chauhan held individual meetings with representatives from publications such as Travel + Leisure, Northstar Meetings Group, Forbes, Real Simple, and Hotels Above Par.

According to Visit Savannah, the purpose of the trip was to strengthen editorial relationships in a key media market and promote Savannah as a top destination for both leisure travelers and business groups. The meetings aimed to secure coverage for 2026 that highlights trends in travel and group events related to the city.

Visit Savannah stated that these efforts are part of its broader strategy to increase earned media attention, which is intended to raise awareness of the region and encourage more visitors.
